Bye Iraq!
On January 15th, 2009 we set flight Iraq bound. We were told we were going to be here for a year. This first deployment of mine sure is interesting in hindsight. So many ups and downs it's enough to make anyone's head spin. I recently found out I'll be on the first wave coming back to the states, which will be in Novemberish... which totally sucks. At first, I was a stressed about coming to Iraq, but now that I know how it is here, I'm not ready to go yet. Military makes about twice as much money overseas because of hazardous/combat pay. Well, that plus not having to pay taxes. I've set a lot of goals, and have a lot of plans for the future. All which require money. Iraq, you and your money will be missed. On that note...
I'll be on my way there in about 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to meeting up with a lot of friends, new and old. Hoping to get a little rowdy on the streets as well! It sucks that I'm going to be there without my car, but next summer will be quite different. As I will be bringing my car up to iLL Garage to visit Dr. Tommy Cho to get some wrenches turned on it. My car is going to undergo quite the transformation from polite daily driver to a solid built dori sha. Which will of course lead me to be looking for a more polite and cop friendly daily... Right now, I can't help but look at some Audi's. All wheel drive and can handle Chicago winters. Plus, look pretty sexy when you drop em and put some shoes on.
So that is my goal for next summer.
This week?
Blitz BLM Boost and Temperature
My dream gauges ^_^
Got this too, you know, for good practice...
