Wrong.

I could not have been more wrong when it comes to the parts flow. A mass part out occurred and I was there to reap the benefits.

First, an updated pic of that gauge cluster!
Isis intake mani
Megan Racing turbo mani

The following parts were purchased, but the pictures shown are from the sellers since they haven't arrived yet. Will update when new pics are available.

Clear tail lights
Cometic head gasket
ARP head studs/bolts
Nismo thermostat
BC 264/264 cams
Lastly, a head with BC springs and retainers.
There are also oversized valves which I won't be using, if anyone is interested feel free to contact me.

My last purchase this week...
I know, I know. It was a good deal though, how could I resist?

I've been looking at colors to paint my car for a while now... Midnight Purple - LP2 has become my new favorite. It will be cheaper than HOK and just as sexy with a more personal Nissan touch.

It looks like this

Any thoughts?

Less is more?

Not much happened this week, which leads me to believe maybe I'll just be updating this once in a while. No point in posting when nothing has happened... Just the typical Marine stuff...

Basketball and idiots in charge of heavy machinery

This shot is of me returning from a delivery... just thought it was pretty cool...
Our latest rave...
I only have one pic of the gauge cluster I bought today. Update later when I get better pics!Looking through my spreadsheets I realized I've bought most the parts I can get used. From here on out, it's going to be tough finding some of these items. Given, at this point all I have is a car, and a shit ton of parts, I'm looking for sponsors. Most of the events I'll be at in the next year or two will be in Myrtle Beach, after that, it's going to be back to the Midwest! I can't wait.

I love you and miss you Chicago!
See you soon.

R&R

Remember that C-130 that we support? Well, I finally rode one. Straight to Qatar. I know some of you are wondering, "But Derek, who or what is a Qatar?" It's basically Saudi Arabia. How to describe Qatar? Amazing. I hope this isn't my last time visiting!

Architecture:
Crazy Driving

Places of personal interest in Qatar? The City Center Mall, Villaggio Mall, and I also found myself at both the Old Souq, and the Gold Souq.

Here's a pic of my quarters
Same sheets as boot camp, how nostalgic.

Due to this week's explorations in Qatar, there were no car parts purchased.

PSYCH!

Picked up this Apexi Super Suction kit:
So, I've made some new friends from back home since being out in Iraq. Many of these people don't even know what I look like in civilian clothes. Well, since I finally got a chance to go to Qatar, you can have a peek.
This was by far one of the greatest weeks I've EVER had.

It's not quite breakfast, it's not quite dinner but comes with a Strawberry Fanta.
So what is it?
Midrats.
Yeah, back home in wonderful Al Asad.
